Tovino Thomas injured during shooting

Actor Tovino Thomas injured while shooting an action scene for his new movie Kala. He has been hospitalised and is undergoing treatment.

He is admitted to a private hospital in Kochi, Kerala. Later he was moved to ICU and is under observation to treat internal bleeding. According to reports, the cause of the injury is due to severe blow to the abdomen leading to internal injury and bleeding. Early report suggests that he is not critical.

Tovino suffered an injury receiving a kick to his stomach during the shoot of Kala. However, the actor chose to ignore the pain and continued to shoot for the film. However the pain became severe and decided to take medical help.

Kala, directed by Rohith VS is one of the films Tovino started working post lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. The movie revolves around a special relationship between a man and his pet dog. A dog named Bazigar is said to be playing a key role in the movie. The film also stars Lal, Divya Pillai and Sumesh Moor.

Tovino also has many movies in the pipleline including the much awaited superhero film, Minnal Murali.
