Muscat : The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), through its Directorate General of Meteorology, has issued a weather advisory warning of thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds across several regions in Oman.
According to the latest forecast, governorates likely to be affected include Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah, and both North and South Al Sharqiyah. These areas may experience scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, and occasional hailstorms throughout the day.
The advisory also notes the presence of active downward winds in regions stretching from Shinas in the north to Al Fasil and Jalan Bani Bu Ali in the southeast. These wind conditions, linked to cumulus cloud activity, may lead to significantly reduced horizontal visibility.
Residents and travelers are advised to exercise caution, particularly in areas prone to flash floods or reduced visibility due to weather changes. The CAA continues to monitor developments and urges the public to follow official updates.
