Wearing of face masks will be optional in Telangana from 1st April. Face masks will be voluntary in Telangana, except for the elderly, those with co morbidities and pregnant women
Hyderabad: As the COVID-19 cases are declining significantly over the past few weeks, the government of Telangana decided to lift all Covid-related restrictions, including the mandatory wearing of face masks.
Telangana is reported to be fully under control, with less than 50 cases being reported daily. According to the state health department all beneficiaries in the age of 18 and above have been administered both doses of vaccine.
The Telangana government’s decision came soon after Maharashtra and West Bengal announced yesterday that all curbs related to the viral disease would be lifted. The withdrawal of the Covid-19 curbs came almost two years after the pandemic struck in March 2020.
