Teacher’s ability to inspire and excite children in classrooms

The second most important quality of becoming a good teacher is to become a leader of inspirational thinking and excitement thinking. Isn’t this what happens at home?
When the child is quite young who acts as the leader to the child in the house? It is the mother and the father followed by the rest of the family. The child always looks at patents as the source of inspiration, excitement, and trust. When it comes to school teacher inspires and excites the child. When a teacher teaches a subject, he/she has to ensure that there is motivation, excitement and trust.

How can the teacher be an inspiration to the students? How can the teacher be the most trust worthy person in the classroom? How can the teacher get the students excited in learning?

Let us consider the techniques used by the mother and father to educate the child and develop habits in a child. Did they do it with a stick or a time out? In order to be a great motivator, to build a trust, and to build excitement the very basic requirement is unconditional love, tolerance, patience, and brilliance. The teacher should have these qualities in order to motivate and excite children. The moment love is not distributed equally, excitement is not given equally, and tolerance and patience are not given equally to the students; there arises discrimination in the classroom.

A teacher needs to understand that he/she is going to be a parent to every child in the class. And the job is to build a creative thinking, to be a strong motivator, to be an excitement provider, and to build the strength of the trust in a relationship. Then, the child will never stay away from class. However, teachers are faced with a lot of challenges: learning challenges, portion challenges, team leadership, school principal, school owner, and parent complaints.

How can a teacher rise up to the challenge?

When a teacher is able to gain the love and confidence of the children, he/she will be able to overcome all hurdles.

Teachers are like psychologists who know exactly how a child thinks. If they know how a child thinks, it is called emotional intelligence.

Every teacher should be trained in emotional intelligence to understand a child’s mind and work with him/her. That maybe a big challenge for the school management and the school leadership to train the teachers in order to equip them to work with emotional intelligence of children. Trained teachers will rise up very fast. School managements need to be aware of this.
To build awareness of the teacher, of her/his critical role in the classroom, team building is very important. The management should focus into strong team building, team sharing and the culture of working togetherness. For instance, the teachers of the same grade should be grouped in one team. They should meet and plan how they could work tomorrow for their children. It is group parenting. How they can think together and how to present their subjects equally and uniformly in such a way that children are loved, trust is built, and children are motivated, excited and happy.

All said and done, one of the most important factors of emotional intelligence is something that children always love to listen to good stories A teacher can easily capture emotional intelligence as long as he/she is a great story teller and a listener. If there are 30 children in a class, there will be 30 different stories waiting for the teacher every day. If emotional intelligence is built around developing good stories, good current affairs, good real life connected stories; students shall have the best classrooms where successful learning happens.
