										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When the COVID-19 cases continue to peak in the country , the West Bengal government announced that no passenger flights will operate to Kolkata from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Nagpur and Ahmedabad between July 6 and July 19.  The authorities  of Kolkata airport confirmed the news in their twitter handle.  As per the airport director, the decision was taken on the request of the state government.</p>

<p>West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had earlier written to the Centre to stop sending flights and trains to coronavirus ‘hotspot’ states.</p>
<p>India resumed domestic passenger flights from May 25, after two months due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Scheduled international passenger flights still stands suspended in India till July 31.</p>
