										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kerala reported 3,593 new coronavirus positive cases after 32,489 tests on November 9. The state also registered 5,983 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the Health department informed in a press statement.</p>
<p>Of the new cases, 3,070 contracted the disease through contact. The source of infection of 409 among them is unknown.  There were 53 health personnel among those infected</p>
<p>With 22 deaths being reported on this day, the state&#8217;s death toll has risen to 1,714.</p>
<p>The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 4,89,702 and total recoveries in the state are 4,08,460.</p>
<p>32,489 samples were tested during the last 24 hours with a test positivity rate of 11.06%. Till now, a total of 51,30,922 samples have been sent for testing.<br />
 <br />
The numbers of new positive cases district-wise are Malappuram 548, Kozhikode 479, Ernakulam 433, Thrissur 430, Alappuzha 353, Thiruvananthapuram 324, Kollam 236, Palakkad 225, Kottayam 203, Kannur 152, Kasargod 75, Wayanad 50, Pathanamthitta 43 and Idukki 42. Of those diagnosed with the disease, 61 have travelled to the state from outside.<br />
 <br />
The figures for the locally transmitted cases from the districts are Malappuram 504, Kozhikode 441, Ernakulam 298, Thrissur 417, Alappuzha 345, Thiruvananthapuram 224, Kollam 230, Palakkad 133, Kottayam 203, Kannur 99, Kasaragod 66, Wayanad 48, Pathanamthitta 35 and Idukki 27.<br />
 <br />
The tally of the infected healthcare workers from the districts are Ernakulam 18, Thiruvananthapuram 11, Kozhikode 5, Thrissur &amp; Kannur 4, Kollam 3; Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad 2, and Pathanamthitta &amp; Kasargod 1.<br />

The district-wise figures of the patients whose test results were negative are Thiruvananthapuram 452, Kollam 454, Pathanamthitta 147, Alappuzha 792, Kottayam 423, Idukki 49, Ernakulam 827, Thrissur 904, Palakkad 429, Malappuram 560, Kozhikode 618, Wayanad 104, Kannur 133 and Kasaragod 91.<br />
 <br />
At present, there are 79,410 patients undergoing treatment in the state while a total of 4,08,460 persons have so far recovered from Coronavirus infection.<br />
 <br />
There are currently 3,16,096 people under observation across the state &#8211; 2,96,208 under isolation at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 19,888 in hospitals. 1,981 people were admitted to the hospitals today.<br />
 <br />
Two places in Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram districts were declared as new hotspots while seven areas were excluded. At present, there are 612 hotspots in Kerala.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kerala records the highest single-day spike of 3,830 Covid cases on September 16. 2, 263 recoveries were also reported in the state. With this, active covid cases in the state rises to 32,709. So far 84,604 have been cured of the virus. The total confirmed cases now stands at 1,17,863.</p>
<p>Fourteen deaths too were confirmed in the state. With this, covid death toll in the state rises to 480.</p>
<p>Out of the new cases, 49 have come abroad while 153 came from other states. 3,562 contracted the disease through contact. The contact source of 350 is not known.</p>
<p>Sixty-six healthcare workers were also infected through contact.</p>
<p>The numbers of those infected through contact from the districts are Thiruvananthapuram 642, Kozhikode 455, Ernakulam 301, Alappuzha 297, Kollam 285, Malappuram 281, Thrissur 254, Kannur 215, Palakkad 202, Kottayam 186, Pathanamthitta 184, Kasaragod 112, Wayanad 92 and Idukki 56.</p>
<p>The district-wise statistics of positive cases are: 675  from Thiruvananthapuram , 300 from Kollam, 236 from Pathnamthitta, 323 from Alappuzha, 187 from Kottayam, 76  from Idukki, 319 from Ernakulam, 263 from Thrissur, 220 from Palakkad, 298 from Malappuram, 468 from Kozhikode, 99 from Wayanad, 247 from Kannur and 119 from Kasaragod.</p>
<p> <br />
As on September 16, a total of 2,11,037 persons are under observation across the state, 1,87,958 under home or institutional quarantine and 23,079 in hospitals. 2,987 people were admitted to the hospitals today.<br />
 <br />
46,162 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 22,451.39 samples have been sent for testing, including 1,91,931 samples from high-risk groups as part of Sentinel Surveillance.<br />
 <br />
15 places were declared as hotspots today even as 22 were exempted from the list. At present, there are 610 hotspots in Kerala.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>COVID=15 was confirmed in 2,479 people in Kerala on August 4, while 2,255 are cases of local transmission and the source of infection in 149 cases was not traceable. Fifty-nine of the cases detected are in returnees from foreign countries and 71 are from other States. At the same time, 2,716 patients under treatment for the disease have recovered.<br />
 Eleven recent deaths in the State were confirmed as due to Covid taking the death toll to 326. Raphael (78) &amp; Shibin (39) from Thrissur district, Amina (95) &amp; Muhammad (73) from Malappuram district, Abdul Rahman (60) from Kasargod district, Vasudevan (83), Santosh Kumar (45) from Kannur district; Ravidas (69), Sabariar (65) &amp; Sulaja (56) from Thiruvananthapuram district and Bushra Beevi (61) from Kollam district are the deceased. More deaths will be confirmed after further tests at NIV, Alappuzha.</p>
<p>The district-wise figures for the new active cases are 477 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 274 from Ernakulam district, 248 from Kollam district, 236 from Kasargod district, 204 from Thrissur district, 178 each in Kottayam and Malappuram districts, 167 from Kozhikode district, 141 from Pathanamthitta district, 115 in Kannur district, 106 from Alappuzha district, 84 from Wayanad district, 42 in Palakkad district and 29 from Idukki district.</p>
<p>The details of the people infected through contact are 463 from Thiruvananthapuram district, 267 in Ernakulam district, 241 from Kollam district, 225 in Kasaragod district, 177 from Kottayam district, 169 in Malappuram district, 155 from Kozhikode district, 140 in Thrissur district, 102 from Kannur district, 99 in Pathanamthitta district, 91 from Alappuzha district, 68 in Wayanad district, 36 from Palakkad district and 22 in Idukki district.<br />
A total of 426 patients from Thiruvananthapuram district, 114 in Kollam district, 105 from Pathanamthitta district, 438 in Alappuzha district, 117 from Kottayam district, 26 in Idukki district, 185 from Ernakulam district, 140 in Thrissur district, 93 from Palakkad district, 627 in Malappuram district, 272 from Kozhikode district, 28 in Wayanad district, 73 from Kannur district and 72 in Kasaragod district are those who tested negative on the day.</p>
<p>So far 60,448 persons have been cured of COVID while 21,268 patients are still undergoing treatment. At present, there are a total of 1,97,937 people under observation across the state, 1,80,743 under home or institutional quarantine and 17,194 in hospitals. 1,750 persons were hospitalised.</p>
<p>A total of 36,310 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Till now, a total of 17,92,330 samples have been sent for testing, including 1,81,683 samples from high-risk groups as part of Sentinel Surveillance. Sixteen new places were demarcated as hotspots on the day and 28 were excluded. Currently, there are 557 hotspots in Kerala</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kerala recorded 1,553 new COVID-19 and 1,950 recoveries on September 3, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in his evening briefing.</p>
<p>Among them, 1,391 people contracted the disease through contact. The source of infection of 156 is yet to be traced.</p>
<p>28 of these diagnosed today have arrived from overseas and 90 from other states.</p>
<p>Kerala also reported 10 deaths, taking the death toll to 315 and 1950 recoveries.</p>
<p>The state has reported 79625 cases so far , out of which 57,728 persons recovered.</p>
<p>The CM said that the test positivity rate had gone up in the past two days. The test positivity rate in Kerala is above 8.</p>
<p>He also said that the some studies claimed the number of COVID-19 cases in Kerala would go up further in October.</p>
<p>In the last month, Kerala recorded more than 50 percent of the total cases, he said. It is uncertain if cases have surged in the days of Onam when interactions with people had increased.</p>
<p>The CM said that the next 14 days will be crucial and state machinery has been reinforced to mitigate the threats posed by a larger community spread.</p>
<p>317 persons from Thiruvananthapuram district, 164 from Ernakulam district, 160 from Kottayam district, 133 from Kasargod district, 131 from Kozhikode district, 118 from Pathanamthitta district, 93 from Thrissur district, 91 from Malappuram district, 87 in Alappuzha district, 74 from Kannur district, 65 in Kollam district, 58 from Palakkad district, 44 in Idukki district and 18 from Wayanad district are those who tested positive today for Coronavirus.<br />
 <br />
The locally transmitted cases were detected in 299 persons from Thiruvananthapuram district, 135 from Ernakulam district, 158 from Kottayam district, 118 from Kasaragod district, 122 from Kozhikode district, 97 from Pathanamthitta district, 90 from Thrissur district, 85 from Malappuram district, 83 from Alappuzha district, 64 from Kannur district, 55 from Kollam district, 50 from Palakkad district, 20 from Idukki district and 15 from Wayanad district.<br />
 <br />
40 healthcare workers were also infected by the disease &#8211; 15 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 10 in Ernakulam district, four in Kozhikode district, three in Kannur district, two each in Kollam and Kasaragod districts, and one each in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Thrissur and Palakkad districts. Four INHS personnel in Ernakulam district are among those infected.</p>
<p>Currently, there are a total of 1,92,168 people under quarantine in various districts of the state, 1,74,135 under home or institutional quarantine and 18,033 in hospitals. 1,703 persons were admitted to the hospital today.<br />
 <br />
30,342 samples were analysed in the last 24 hours. Till now, a total of 17,55,568 samples have been sent for testing, including 1,80,540 samples from priority groups as part of Sentinel Surveillance.<br />
 <br />
There are eight new hotspots in the State while 14 places were exempted today bringing down the total number of hotspots to 569.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kerala&#8217;s single day COVID-19 cases crossed the 2000 mark for the second time with 2,172 new infections being reported on Saturday.</p>
<p>This is the second highest single day spike reported in the state. 1964 contracted the disease through contact. Of them the sources of infection of 163 are yet to be traced, according to an evening update by the Health Ministry.</p>
<p>Fifty two infected came from abroad while 102 came from the other states. 54 health workers too contracted the virus. They include 14 from Palakkad district, 11 from Malappuram, 9 from Thiruvananthapuram, 8 from Thrissur, 5 from Kasragod, 3 from Ernakulam, 2 from Kozhikode and 1 each from Wayanad and Kannur districts.</p>
<p>The total cases in each states are Thiruvananthapuram 464, Malappuram 395, Kozhikode 232, Palakkad 184, Thrissur 179, Kasragod 119, Ernakulam 114, Kottayam 104, Pathnamthitta 93, Alappuzha 87, Kollam 77, Kannur 62, Idukki 37 and Wayanad 25.</p>
<p>The state also recorded 1,292 recoveries on the day. Fifteen deaths have been reported taking the total toll to 218.</p>
<p>The total cases reported in Kerala has reached 56,354 out of which 36,539 persons recovered. The remaining 19,538 patients are being treated in various hospitals.</p>
<p>Twenty five new regions have been designated as hotspots. There are currently 616 hotspots in the state.</p>

<p>Of the total infected 122 people arrived from abroad and 96 from other States. The total number of hotspots reached 486 and 679 people were cured of the infection on the day.</p>
