Tooter, with a conch shell(shank) icon, is an Indian alternative to Twitter that became popular amid call for going ‘vocal for local’ in the country. Modelled in the likes of Twitter, the site also has a white and blue coloured interface and is inspired by the US-based platform Parler.

This ‘Made in India’ social media site went viral after it identified itself as a swadeshi social network.

In fact the website became active around June or July. But it caught netizens’attention only recently and ever since then desi Twitter users have left no stone unturned to create hilarious memes and jokes about it.

If you wonder who will be using this identical twin of Twitter, one won’t be surprised as the site has some prominent personalities as its users like PM Narendara Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, actor Abhishek Bachchan, Sadhguru and cricketer Virat Kohli.

The site claims that it aims to promote free speech and not punish users for “exercising their god-given right to speak freely.”

The platform is a cross between Facebook and Twitter. It follows the same mechanism as Twitter, as the user has to create an account on Tootter with a username and an email address. After signing up, users can follow other accounts , read through a feed and customise groups and lists. Like posts on Twitter are called tweets, it is Toots on Tooter. The app is available only for Android users.

Not only this, he even shared a photo of his health care board on Instagram, “I TOLD YOU!!! Discharge plan: YES!! This afternoon I tested Covid-19 NEGATIVE. Thank you all for your prayers and wishes. I’m so happy to be able to go home. #believe My eternal gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Nanavati Hospital for taking such good care of me and my family and helping us beat Covid-19. We couldn’t have done it without them.”

Minutes  after Abhishek’s post, Amitabh Bachchan also shared about the same “Abhishek tests negative for COVID. Discharged from hospital… on his way home. God is great. Thank you EF and well wishers for your prayers….. Welcome home Bhaiyu.” he wrote.

Abhishek’s wife and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan were also tested positive for coronavirus in July. Both of them were discharged from the hospital after testing negative on July 27.

On the work front, Abhishek was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video Series Breathe: Into the Shadows. He will be seen next in The Big Bull, Ludo and Bob Biswas.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan on Wednesday shared the official trailer of his debut web series ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows,’ and from the look, it seems to be some dark mystery.The ‘Guru’ actor shared the news of the trailer launch on Twitter.

The trailer is an ordeal of parents, played by Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen, who are connecting bits and pieces of a thread to find their daughter, Siya Sabharwal, who has gone missing for three months. Nithya Menen also makes her digital debut through the series. Saiyami Kher also joins the cast in a prominent role.

The trailer introduces a rather mysterious guy, in a mask, who is shown controlling Abhishek’s mind, urging him to kill people if he wants to see his daughter alive.

“I’m a psychiatrist, and who better than a psychiatrist can understand the mind games,” says Bachchan’s character, who later is seen taking the road of investigation all by himself.
The trailer also reveals actor Amit Sadh’s character – a cop who is heading the missing case, as pretty suspicious.

The three-minute and one-second-long video is teased with some action and gripping mystery.
The show is slated to release on July 10 on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories in multiple language such as Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

The cast and crew of the series recently hopped on a group video chat to discuss about the series. Abhishek Bachchan, Nithya Menen, Saiyami Kher, Amit Sadh, director Mayank Sharma and the Founder and Chief Executive of Abundantia Entertainment, Vikram Malhotra caught up on a video call ahead of the trailer release.

The series is produced by Abundantia Entertainment and with Mayank Sharma as the director, who has also written it along with Bhavani Iyer, Vikram Tuli and Arshad Syed.
