Sushant Singh Rajput case: Showik, Miranda sent to NCB custody till Sept 9

A local court in Mumbai placed Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda, who were arrested in connection with the drug probe linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput, death, in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till September 9.

Showik is brother of Rhea Chakraborty, who is the main accused in the death case, while Miranda was Rajput’s house manager.

The duo has been accused of allegedly procuring non-commercial quantity of marijuana/ ganja from a drug supplier at least 10-12 times between September 2019 and April this year.

Showik and Miranda were arrested on September 5 under various sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, after over 10 hours of questioning.

Meanwhile, a CBI team on Saturday visited Rajput’s flat in Mumbai’s Bandra. The probe team along with forensic experts reached the late actor’s flat in Mont Blanc Apartments around 11.30 am,” . Rajput’s cooks Neeraj and Keshav, and his flatmate, Siddharth Pithani, accompanied the team, the official said.
