Stock market rises for sixth day in a row

The stock market rose for the sixth day in a row. The stock market, which witnessed the Nifty move above 13,900 points for the first time on December 29, closed at 14,000 points on December 30.

Similarly, the Nifty closed 49 points higher at 13,982. The Sensex ended 133 points higher at 47,746.

The Nifty, which started the morning with gains, moved to new heights. The Nifty hit a new record high of 13,997. At the same time, the market is experiencing severe volatility. However, the market maintained its gains as it closed.

The Nifty was unable to break through the 14,000 resistance. However, the Nifty is likely to rise above 14,000 points in the coming days due to strong cash flow. If India approves the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca the market will reach new heights. Auto stocks are expected to dominate the market as reports on vehicle sales come out next week.

Ultratech Cement, Grasim Industries, Sree Cements, Bajaj Finance and Acer Motors were the top gainers. Shares of Ultratech Cement and Gracie Industries rose more than 3 per cent. The biggest losers were Nifty stocks IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharma.
