Singers Neha Mahajan and Shilpa Rao have reasons to cheer about Grammys 2021

The nominations to the 63rd Grammy Awards were announced on November 24. Two already globally recognised artists, Ricky Martin and Anoushka Shankar were part of the nominees and Indian artists Neha Mahajan and Shilpa Rao were part of their work respectively.

Actor and sitar player, Neha Mahajan has reasons to celebrate. Her collaboration with the King of Latin Pop, Ricky Martin recently bagged a Grammy Awards nomination in the Best Latin or Urban Album category. The singer’s album, ‘Pausa’ was nominated by the Recording Academy.

Neha took to instagram to celebrate the grand moment, Ricky Martin posted on Twitter about the nomination.

‘Pausa’ is the first EP by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin who already has two Grammy Awards in his name. ‘Pausa’ was released on May 28,2020. Neha collaborated with Ricky for the song ‘Mi Sangre’. The album also bagged an award at the Latin Grammys 2020.

On the other hand, Shilpa Rao is one of the artists on the track ‘Those Words’ from Anoushka Shankar’s album ‘Love Letters’ that have been nominated for Best Global Music Album.

Shilpa Rao shared her delight on her instagram. The ‘Ghungroo’ singer said that this dream was ‘not even the list’but still coming true. She thanked Anoushka Shankar for giving her the opportunity and that the track will be ‘special one’ for her.
