Shutters of dams opened in Kerala owing to heavy  rains

Thiruvanathapuram: The shutters of Neyyar and Aruvikkara dams were opened due to heavy rainfall in the state. Four shutters of Neyyar dam were opened by five centimetres and three shutters of Aruvikkara dam by 20 centimetres.
Forest Minister A K Saseendran said that tourists will not be allowed entry to eco-tourism centres including Kumbhavurutty, Palaruvi, Kallar, Adavi, Mankayam, Ponmudi, Neyyar, and Kottur.
