Sharjah’s Jubail Market Draws 135,000 Visitors in 2025, Strengthening Its Role as Al Dhaid’s Retail Hub

Sharjah: Jubail Market in Al Dhaid has welcomed nearly 135,000 visitors during the first half of 2025, highlighting its rising popularity and vital role in supporting the local community while contributing to the region’s economic vitality.

Talal Mohammed, Director of Central Region Markets, emphasized that the market has become a key shopping destination for both residents and citizens in Al Dhaid and nearby areas.

He noted that the strong footfall reflects growing public confidence in the market’s service quality, extensive variety of fresh products, and commitment to upholding high standards — all designed to offer shoppers a convenient, all-in-one experience.

“We are continuously working to enhance our services to exceed customer expectations,” he said. “Our goal is to deliver a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience that reflects the aspirations of the community and fosters local economic growth.”

A Comprehensive Retail Destination

Since its opening in 2022, Jubail Market has evolved into a full-service retail hub featuring four main sections: meat, fruits and vegetables, fish, and a central courtyard. It is equipped with state-of-the-art storage and refrigeration systems to ensure food quality and freshness.

The market hosts 86 commercial outlets, including:

  • 24 meat and poultry shops, each fitted with display chillers, cold storage, and rear service corridors.
  • 45 outlets for fruits, vegetables, and dates, along with a dedicated space for a cooperative society branch or supermarket.
  • 16 fish stalls, supported by designated areas for cleaning, preparation, and grilling.

Customers also benefit from a range of amenities such as waiting areas, specialty restaurants, a traditional café, ATM, reception desk, public facilities, and prayer rooms for both men and women — making the market a fully integrated commercial and service hub for the Al Dhaid region.

Architectural Excellence

The market is also a standout architectural landmark, inspired by Islamic design and adorned with intricate decorative features inside and out. Built to meet high standards of safety and sustainability, the structure harmonizes with the cultural and environmental character of the area.

Located in the Luwaidid district and spanning 78,000 square metres, the market is one of the flagship projects developed by Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah.
