Sensex, Nifty gain on the last trading last

The stock market closed with gain in the last trading day of the week. Sensex was up 329 points and Nifty rose 94 points at the end of the day on June 26.
Sensex closed at 35171 and Nifty ended trading at 10,383.00.
Infosys, TCS, BPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, IndusInd Bank were the five Nifty stocks that registered gains. Infosys and BPCL made over 6% gain.
Bajaj Finance, ITC, Infra Tel, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tata Motors were the stocks that registered the worst losses. Bajaj Finance and ITC end trading at 3% loss.
IT stocks put up a strong show with the Nifty IT index gaining 4%. At the same time, selling pressure on pharma stocks continued.
The Kerala-based Geojit Financial Services Ltd continued to register the gains it showed in recent days. Geojit’s shares rose 60% over the last two weeks.
