Government offices were essential for the people and no one should create a situation that would affect their functioning, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said. Work would be regulated in Government offices. Office meetings would be conducted online. The evidence of shortfalls in security arrangements were evident in many places, the Chief Minister said.
The security arrangements in government offices should be strictly observed. The Chief Secretary will be monitoring the regulation of work in offices, the Chief Minister said.
Officials in the respective districts should be deployed for COVID duty. And those on COVID duty should not live with their families. If there is community spread, a comprehensive project would be needed to utilise the services of health workers. Staff members below 45 years working in the State Health Service would be deputed and specially trained. The services of final year students in various medical courses would be utilised. The service of unemployed health workers and retired health workers would also be sought. They would be deployed in districts as the need be.
Students in NCC and NSS as well as volunteers would be specially trained and deployed, the Chief Minister said.
