Schools in the UAE show excellent performance in Grade X CBSE

When the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Grade 10 examination results on July 15, schools in the UAE had much to rejoice. A good many of them scored a 100% pass rate.

A total of 9,500 students from 78 CBSE-affiliated schools in the UAE had appeared for the exam. The core subjects were over when the CBSE cancelled the remaining exams on March 18 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aryan Muralidharan from The Millennium School Dubai secured 99.6 per cent marks to become the topper. Aryan wants to study engineering back home in India after completing higher secondary school. The school scored a 100 per cent pass rate. Of its 228 students who took the exam, boys secured an average of 85.4 per cent and girls 84.3 per cent.

Nitin Kumar Ramachandran, who scored 98.8 per cent, is the topper from Delhi Private School (DPS) Dubai. The school average is 87.56 per cent, with all students getting a first division and 46.24 per cent students an aggregate of over 90 per cent.

Also scoring 98.8 per cent was Swayam Shah from The Indian High School, Dubai, where 36 per cent of students scored 90 per cent and above. Swayam, who wants to be a software engineer, is moving back to India to finish his high school.

Leha Mahesh Kumar with 98.4 per cent is the topper at GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai, where 32.3 per cent of the candidates scored 90 per cent and above. She aspires to study MBBS in the UK or Singapore after high school.

At Sharjah Indian School, which secured 100% pass for its 623 examinees, Vaishnavi Madathil scored 97.8% to become the school topper. Pavan Saji with 97.4% is the boys school topper.

At DPS Sharjah, the top position was shared by Venkatesan Sundar and Neha Sunil both of whom scored 97.8% marks. All the examinees passed with first class marks while 95.3% students scored distinction. The overall school average is 90%, where an overwhelming 58.2% of students scored 90% and above.
At Our Own English High School (OOEHS), Sharjah (Girls), Sneha Nahak became the school topper with 97.8%. The school has 100% pass rate and overall average of 85.7%. OOEHS Boys branch also secured 100% pass for its 373 candidates. The topper is Manthan Dipesh Parmar with 97.8%.

A relatively new Sharjah school, ASPAM Indian International School, secured 100% pass with Huzaifa Neemuchwala topping the school with 95.8%.
At Habitat School, Ajman, where Hanan Subair became the topper with 97.4 per cent, the average pass rate was 75.4%. The school scored a 100% pass rate.

At Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah, which achieved 100% pass, Dhruv Gireesh stood first with 97.8%. Shreehan Santosh Kate was the topper at United Indian School in Abu Dhabi, with a score of 97.2%.
