Saif Ali Khan knife attack LIVE: Actor ‘out of danger’ after surgery; police identify one accused

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan received multiple injuries after an intruder attacked him with a knife during an alleged burglary attempt at his residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday (January 16, 2025).

The intruder fled from the spot following the incident which took place at around 2.30 am at his 12th floor house in Satguru Sharan building in Bandra area.
“Saif sustained 6 injuries, 2 are minor, 2 intermediate and 2 deep injuries. One of the injuries is on the back which is close to spine. A neurosurgeon is involved in the surgery,” said Lilavati Hospital’s COO Dr. Uttamani.

After Saif’s medical procedure, his team said the actor has come out of the surgery and “is out of danger”.

“He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident,” the statement said.

DCP Dixit Gedam confirmed that the intruder broke into the house with an intention of burglary.
