Royal Army of Oman celebrates graduation of officer cadets

Muscat : The ceremony was held at the military parade grounds at Al Murtafaa Camp under the patronage of H.E. General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office
It began with a military salute to His Excellency the General, the patron of the occasion, followed by the Royal Anthem from the RAO band. After that, the commander of the parade requested the chief guest to inspect the front row of the passing out batch.

The graduates put in a military show, with the infantry passing in front of the dais, led by bearers of the Sultan Qaboos Military College colours. Then, the column performed a forward march in the form of a parade.

After that, His Excellency the Minister of the Royal Office handed over the Sword of Honour to Lieutenant Ayman bin Khalid Al Mazahmi from the Royal Army of Oman, who won first place at the level of the officer cadets’ course.
This was followed by protocols of handing over the banner of the Sultan Qaboos Military College.
After that, the graduates chanted the Royal Army of Oman’s anthem and performed the Oath of Loyalty. They chanted thrice “Long Live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander”. Then, the column gave a military salute and the RAO band played the Royal Anthem, after which the leader of the column stepped forward asking permission to dismiss.

The queue passed in front of the main stage, giving the military salute to His Excellency, the patron of the celebration.

Then, the Royal Army of Oman Music Band presented various musical pieces and performances, and a military musical show that included many formations that embodied the high capabilities and skills of the band members.

The celebration was attended by a number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Chairmen of the State Council and the Shura Council, the commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other military and security agencies, a number of honourees and retired commanders, military attachés from the embassies of sisterly and friendly countries in the Sultanate of Oman, commanders of military colleges in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, a group of members of the Royal Army of Oman, and the parents of the graduating officers, among others.
