The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has released a list of 804 government laboratories and 327 private laboratories where non-resident Indians returning to UAE and other Middle Eastern countries can get COID-19 tests done. Those who are returning to the UAE has to present a certificate showing that their test results are negative done in the last 96 hours.
In Kerala, there are 27 government institutions including, the National Institute of Virology Alappuzha, Medical colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Ernakulan, Manjeri, Kottayam, Palakkad, Idukki, Alappuzha and Kannur, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences, State Public Health Laboratory, Indian Institute of Sciences Education and Research Centre, Regional Public Health Laboratory Pathanamthitta, District Public Health Laboratory, Wayanad, District Tuberculosis Centre Palakkad, District Public Health Laboratory Kollam, Regional Cancer Centre Thiruvananthapuram and District Tuberculosis Centre Kottayam that have been permitted to give the test. There are also 20 private institutions in Kerala that have been given permission by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to conduct the test.
Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Aster Medcity in Kochi, Dane Diagnostics Pvt Ltd at Palakkad and Medivision Scan & Diagnostic Research Centre in Kochi. DDRC SRL Diagnostics at Kochi and MIMS Lab Services at Kozhikode are among the institutions that have been permitted to conduct the test.
