Remark on Indian constitution:CM seeks explanation from Saji Cheriyan

Kerala State Fisheries and Culture Minister Saji Cheriyan criticised the Indian Constitution and remarked that it helps in usurping the wealth of people in the country

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sought an explanation from minister Saji Cheriyan over his controversial remark on the Indian constitution. The CM has asked the minister to give an explanation after Raj Bhavan intervened into the matter.

However, the minister is said to have reacted by saying that he did not mean to criticise the constitution but the government Minister Saji Cherian will soon meet the media for giving an explanation on the matter after his speech turned controversial.

Kerala State Fisheries and Culture Minister Saji Cheriyan criticised the Indian Constitution and remarked that it helps in usurping the wealth of people in the country. He made the controversial statement while addressing the inauguration of the 100th episode of a weekly political commentary programme at Mallapally in Pathanamthitta.
