Reaching for the sky: Dubai’s Burj Khalifa turns 15

Soaring above Dubai’s skyline, the Burj Khalifa stands as a symbol of ambition and innovation. The world’s tallest building, synonymous with the city’s modern charm, celebrates its 15th anniversary on January 4.

This New Year’s Eve, the iconic landmark dazzled visitors with an unforgettable display of fireworks, lasers, music, and lights, offering a magical experience to hundreds of thousands gathered around the Dubai Mall. While the fireworks were a New Year’s Eve wonder, the stunning light and laser show will continue to light up the night sky until March 31.

Opened on January 4, 2010, after six years of construction, the Burj Khalifa rises to an awe-inspiring 828 metres, a beacon of Dubai’s pride. Over the years, it has attracted millions of visitors, cementing its place as a global tourist destination.
