Quarantine violators warned of strict action

Strict action would be taken against those who were in home quarantine violated it and interacted in the public space, Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran warned.
He said it has been directed to take measures, including arrest, against those who violates home quarantine. The minister said the quarantine violation should be monitored at the ward level by the panchayat, municipal and corporation.
He was speaking at the Covid review meeting held at the Collectorate Conference Hall. Wrning stickers would be placed on the houses of those who live in quarantine. Legal action will be taken if the sticker was destroyed.
The Minister released a pamphlet and poster prepared by the District Medical Office regarding reverse quarantine.
District Collector Navjot Khosa, DCP Karuppusamy, Deputy Collectors, DMO P.P. Preeta, other health department officials and other department officials attended the meeting.
