Priyadarshan traveled through Atal Tunnel as he gears up for next movie

National-award winning filmmaker Priyadarshan has started the works of his new movie ‘Hungama 2’. The shooting of the film is apparently progressing in Himachal Pradesh, and during the trip, he traveled through the Atal Tunnel, which was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 3.

After traveling through the tunnel, Priyadarshan also shared an image on his Twitter page.

“Lucky to travel through Atal Tunnel today which was inaugurated yesterday, for the shoot of my movie at Himachal,” Priyadarshan wrote on October 4.

‘Hungama 2’ is a spiritual successor to the 2003 film Hungama, and it also marks the comeback of Priyadarshan to Bollywood after seven years. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey, and Pranitha Subhash in the lead roles.

While announcing this movie, Priyadarshan had planned to release it on August 14, 2020. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the shooting of the film was delayed, and now, he has resumed the filming in Himachal Pradesh.

‘Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham’ is expected to be Priyadarshan’s next release. The film which stars Mohanlal in the lead role was supposed to hit theaters in March. However, as theaters in the country remained closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the makers indefinitely postponed its release. An official announcement regarding the release date of this mega-budget movie will be made soon after the reopening of theaters.
