Plan Ahead for Eid Travel: Royal Oman Police Urges Timely Renewal of ID Documents

Muscat : With the Eid Al Adha holidays and summer travel season approaching, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued an important reminder for citizens and residents to renew their identification documents well in advance.

In its official statement, the ROP emphasized the need for early action to avoid last-minute delays or travel disruptions, especially during peak periods. The advisory includes all forms of identification—such as national ID cards, resident cards, and passports.

The ROP noted that document renewal services are available online, making it easier for individuals to complete the process without visiting service centers. However, applicants must ensure their civil status cards are still valid and that they are physically present in the Sultanate at the time of application.

To avoid unnecessary inconvenience during the holidays, the ROP recommends checking the expiry dates of all essential travel documents as soon as possible.
