Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter marries DYFI president

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena got married to Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) national President Mohammed Riaz at 10:30 am on June 15. In a low-key affair, the newly married couple signed the register at Cliff House in Thiruvanathapuram. Strictly following the lockdown norms, the ceremony was attended by 50  people apart from the parents of both parties.
In a rare occurrence, the marriage was held at the chief minister’s official residence.. Veena is the only daughter of Pinarayi Vijayan and Kamala. An IT graduate, Veena earlier worked with Oracle for six years. Later onshe joined RP Tecsoft International as Chief Executive Officer in Thiruvananthapuram. Presently she is the Managing Director of Exalogic Solutions in Bengaluru.
Muhammad Riyaz, son of Former IPS officer P.M. Abdul Qadir and Aisha Shabi, hails from Kottuli, Kozhikode. A prominent youth activist, Riyas was appointed DYFI’s president in February 2017.
