Riyadh : An all-party Indian parliamentary delegation has arrived in Saudi Arabia to present India’s position on counter-terrorism and provide clarity on Operation Sindoor, the military action initiated by India following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, allegedly backed by Pakistan.

The eight-member delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, landed in Riyadh at around 8:30 PM for a two-day official visit. Other members of the delegation include BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, and Rekha Sharma; AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi; MP Satnam Singh Sandhu; former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad; and foreign affairs expert Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

Key Meetings with Saudi Leadership

During their visit on May 28 and 29, the delegation will hold high-level discussions with Saudi government officials. The focus will be on outlining India’s firm approach to terrorism, building consensus against global terrorism, and strengthening strategic cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

Broader Diplomatic Mission

The visit to Saudi Arabia follows stops in Bahrain and Kuwait, as part of a four-nation outreach that also includes Algeria. The delegation’s mission is to engage with key regional players on matters of security, counter-terrorism, and diplomatic cooperation, reinforcing India’s position as a responsible global actor in the fight against extremism.
