OMRAN Group elevates sports tourism with strategic sponsorship of SOCCA 2024 Six-a-Side World Cup

MUSCAT : The Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sports tourism by serving as the strategic sponsor of the SOCCA 2024 Six-a-Side Football World Cup. This landmark event, hosted in the Middle East for the first time, was held in Muscat from 28 November to 8 December 2024 and organised by Sports Makers. The tournament was a resounding success, blending the thrill of competition with a celebration of cultural diversity.

Crowning the occasion, Oman’s national team emerged victorious, claiming the championship after an exhilarating final against Kazakhstan. The tournament captivated audiences both locally and globally, attracting over 90,000 spectators from Oman and abroad. Across 96 action-packed matches featuring 40 international teams, the event commanded a significant media presence, with broadcasts on more than 50 channels, coverage from 300 journalists, and a staggering 300 million global views—cementing its status as a truly international spectacle.
Sultan bin Suleiman Al Khadhoori, Asset Manager at OMRAN Group, reflected on the tournament’s impact, saying: “We are delighted to have partnered with Sports Makers to bring this prestigious global event to Oman.
