Oman’s SJC announces new ‘Qadaa’ portal to streamline judicial and legal services

MUSCAT : The portal, accessible at sjc.gov.om, will go live on March 6, 2025, offering a unified and efficient platform for individuals and legal professionals to complete various transactions online. It aims to provide an efficient, transparent, and accessible way for individuals and firms to complete legal processes.

The Supreme Judicial Council stated that, starting March 6, 2025, Omani courts will only accept electronic law firm powers of attorney issued through the Tawtheeq notary public services system. This change is part of the broader efforts to digitize and simplify legal services in the Sultanate. As a result, old, paper-based powers of attorney will no longer be recognized.

The Qadaa Portal offers a range of services to the public, making judicial and legal transactions more accessible and user-friendly. The platform is designed to reduce procedural delays, save time, and improve the overall experience for users by providing easy and fast digital services.
