Oman’s Labour Ministry underscores overtime compensation during Ramadan

MUSCAT : In a statement, the Ministry of Labour has reminded employers and workers of the guidelines regarding working hours and compensation during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Article 70 of the Labour Law, working hours for Muslim employees during Ramadan are limited to a maximum of six hours per day and thirty hours per week.

“If the stipulated hours are exceeded. workers shall be compensated in accordance with the provisions of Article (71) of the law,” the Ministry stated.
