Foreign Minister meets Indian Counterpart in Oman

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister held a meeting here today with S. Jaishankat, Minister of External Affairs in the Republic of India. The meeting came within the context of the GCC-India Ministerial Meeting, held at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat General in Riyadh.

The two minister reviewed march of relations and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India. They also explored areas of partnership between the two sides. They also touched on a set of current regional security issues.

Moreover, the two ministers underlined the importance of joint coordination to maintain regional security and stability, as well as containing de-escalation and baking all effortsefforts made to this end, while committing to implementing the rules of international law to establish security, peace and justice for all.

The meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turky Al Said, Ambassador of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neigbourhood Department and a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.
