Oman’s Foreign Minister Holds Diplomatic Talks Amid Escalating Tensions Following Israeli Strikes on Iran

Muscat: Oman’s Foreign Minister, His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, has been actively engaging with counterparts across the region and around the world in response to the escalating military tensions triggered by Israel’s recent strikes on Iranian territory.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr has received a series of phone calls from regional and international foreign ministers as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the dangerous escalation and restoring calm in the region.

During these high-level discussions, the Omani Foreign Minister emphasized the urgent need to halt hostilities and called for peaceful and lawful measures to deter further aggression. He underscored the importance of adhering to international law and principles of justice to prevent additional bloodshed, destruction, and civilian casualties.

“The priority must be to safeguard the security, stability, and supreme interests of the region and its people,” Sayyid Badr stressed in the conversations.

Oman has long maintained a policy of neutrality and active diplomacy in regional conflicts, positioning itself as a mediator for peace and dialogue. These latest diplomatic engagements reaffirm Oman’s commitment to regional de-escalation and conflict resolution through non-violent means.
