Oman’s Ejada system achieves over 60% objectives, modernisation plans underway, says Labour Minister

MUSCAT : Speaking at the third session of the ‘Communication Dialogue’ organised by the Government Communication Centre, His Excellency Dr. Baouin highlighted the system’s ongoing development and modernisation.

The event, held at the Ministry of Information Theatre in Muscat, focused on labour and employment policies within Oman’s evolving labour market. His Excellency Dr. Baouin shared that the Ejada system, which aims to improve public sector performance, has seen significant progress. ‘Individual Excellence’ has already been activated in 67 government agencies, allowing for the evaluation of government units based on criteria such as operational speed, leadership, and job satisfaction.
His Excellency also discussed the Ministry of Labour’s ongoing initiatives to enhance employment opportunities, especially for job seekers. He noted that, as part of the 2025 operational plan, the Ministry aims to provide 45,000 new job opportunities. This includes 11,000 training and qualification opportunities, 10,000 government sector roles, and 24,000 positions in the private sector.

He also mentioned that the draft Civil Service Law, previously known as the Civil Service Law, is currently in the legislative process and is expected to be adopted soon.

The ‘Communication Dialogue’ session, attended by government officials, stakeholders, and members of the public, provided a platform for open dialogue and direct interaction between citizens and relevant authorities.
