Muscat: This innovation comes in response to repeated incidents where students were inadvertently left behind on school buses, leading to fatalities.

Al Kamzari explained that the system actively monitors student movements inside the bus and sends real-time alerts to bus owners if a student is detected to be trapped.
He added that the device works through an integrated system that monitors the status of students inside the bus and relies on modern sensing and communication technologies to send immediate notifications to bus owners. Suppose any student is detained inside the school bus. In that case, effective safety measures are necessary to ensure the safety of students, noting that it has been tested on buses at Qadi Basic Education School in Musandam Governorate.
He pointed out that the device has sensors capable of monitoring the movement of students inside the bus, and once a condition is detected, the device sends an immediate notification via phone call and short text message (SMS) to the bus owner. The notification includes details such as the location of the bus and the time.
The device goes beyond immediate alerts by generating periodic safety reports, enabling bus operators to refine their procedures and ensure maximum student protection.
