Oman set to participate in Expo 2025 Osaka, announces completion of its pavilion

Muscat : The Omani Pavilion will officially open on April 6, 2025, under the theme ‘Extended Links,’ symbolising Oman’s deep-rooted relations with various regions around the world.

At a press conference held today, March 25, the Commission shared that the Omani Pavilion will cover an area of 1,763.22 square meters, with a construction area of 668 square meters. Its design draws inspiration from the Sultanate’s natural and environmental diversity, reflecting the adaptability of the Omani people to their terrain.

The pavilion’s design, a product of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design, focuses on the core elements of land, water, and people.

The Sultanate’s participation will highlight six primary themes: communication and interaction, tourism, investment opportunities, cultural identity, international relations, and partnerships. The pavilion will feature more than 33 events, showcasing Oman’s cultural and economic progress, its rich history, and its commitment to preserving its cultural identity.

Visitors to the pavilion will experience a range of interactive content through advanced technologies such as extended reality and artificial intelligence. These technologies will be accessible via a digital platform with 10 sections, allowing visitors to engage with the diverse facets of Oman’s heritage, geography, and international relations.

The General Commission emphasised the significance of Oman’s presence at Expo 2025, which will bring together over 160 countries and hundreds of international organizations to showcase innovative ideas and contributions for global progress. In addition to its cultural displays, the pavilion will also foster education, providing insights into Oman’s history, traditions, and its role in international peace and cooperation.

Moreover, the event will feature over 300 Omani small and medium enterprises, displaying their products through the digital platform and an online store, showcasing the nation’s vibrant economic landscape.
