Muscat: Oman has been recognized as the most affordable country to live in among GCC nations, according to the 2025 Cost of Living Index released by Numbeo.
The report places Oman at the top of the list due to its low overall cost of living and rental expenses, making it an attractive destination for both residents and expatriates.
As per the index, the estimated monthly expenses for a family of four in Oman (excluding rent) amount to around RO 1,004.7, while a single person’s monthly cost is approximately RO 290.3.
In comparison, Oman’s overall cost of living is reported to be 26.5% lower than that of the UAE, further highlighting its position as the most budget-friendly country in the region.
