Muscat : The summit, aimed at enabling future generations to achieve their aspirations in line with Oman’s Vision 2040, was held under the theme ‘Beyond the Screen: Expanding the Boundaries of Learning’. It sought to build a knowledge-based society that is capable of keeping pace with global technological developments.
The organizers gave a presentation on Oman’s e-learning platform project, followed by another display on Intel company’s innovative skills initiative.
The summit saw the announcement of the ‘Innovative Teacher 2024’ competition’s results. The initiative was developed in partnership with Classera, a global leader in smart learning and educational solutions, and Intel Corporation to celebrate teachers who harness technological techniques to design motivating and innovative models.
Through this competition, inspiring models were highlighted to indicate how technology can radically transform learning experiences.
A project titled ‘Noor’, an integrated e-learning system, was also launched within the context of partnership between the Ministry of Education and Classera. The project aims to provide an advanced educational experience to more than 700,000 students and teachers in the Sultanate of Oman, based on artificial intelligence (AI), adaptive learning and other advanced technologies.
During the event, a platform named ‘Tamkeen’ was launched as part of partnership between Omantel, Classera and Almentor, within a joint effort to bridge the digital divide and elevate the status of the Arabic language as a tool for transferring knowledge and building a bright future. The project seeks to enable Arabic speakers to access high-quality educational and training resources in various fields and sectors.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education, and it was attended by officials from government departments and private sector establishments.
