Oman hosts annual conference of German travel company DERPART

Muscat : The conference is a significant step in the Ministry’s efforts to enhance Oman’s position as a leading destination for business tourism.

Held under the patronage of H.E. Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, the conference brings together 130 heads of German travel agencies and senior executives from DERPART, providing an exceptional platform to showcase Oman’s tourism, cultural, and natural assets to key decision-makers in the German travel sector.
Khalid bin Al Waleed Al Zadjali, Director of the Oman Convention Bureau at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, highlighted that hosting the DERPART conference is an important step in the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to position Oman as a global hub for business tourism. He emphasized the role of international events in showcasing the country’s rich heritage, stunning nature, and advanced infrastructure.
He also pointed out that the conference includes a workshop focusing on opportunities within Oman’s business tourism sector. Topics will cover the facilities provided by the Ministry, Oman’s modern conference infrastructure, and future tourism development projects aligned with Oman Vision 2040.
The Ministry is keen on forging long-term strategic partnerships, including the potential partnership with DERPART, to attract global events, strengthen ties with European markets, and promote Oman as a premier destination for business tourism.

Alongside the conference, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will organize a series of cultural events showcasing Oman’s rich heritage and natural beauty. These activities will give participants the opportunity to experience Oman’s traditional crafts, folk arts, and music, as well as explore the country’s most renowned natural landmarks.
These events are part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to present Oman as an integrated tourism destination that offers both cultural experiences and breathtaking natural landscapes, further solidifying its reputation as a top global destination for all types of tourism, including business tourism.
