Oman highlights education excellence at ALECSO Conference

DOHA: Organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), the conference gathered education leaders to discuss the future of public education in the Arab world.

Leading the Omani delegation, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and Vice President of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, emphasized the Sultanate’s dedication to human development through education, qualification, and training.

Dr. Ambusaidi highlighted the pivotal role of the Specialized Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers, established in 2014, in elevating student achievement levels and equipping Oman to compete globally.
The conference, themed “Inclusive Education and Teacher Empowerment: A Strategic Vision for Education in the Arab World,” provided a platform for member states to exchange best practices and formulate standards to ensure the quality of inclusive education. Discussions centered on fostering teacher empowerment and cooperation across Arab countries to advance public education systems.
