Oman among 97 countries eligible for new Indonesia e-visa on arrival platform

Muscat : The user-friendly platform streamlines the Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) application process, allowing travellers to complete their applications entirely online and receive pre-approved visas before departure. This eliminates the need to wait in queues upon arrival in Indonesia.

The new e-VoA platform is now available to nationals of 97 countries, including Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.

This initiative is part of Indonesia’s broader strategy to boost its tourism industry and welcome 14 million visitors by 2025.

The platform incorporates advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, which automatically populates applicant details, saving time and effort. It also offers a group booking facility, catering to travel agents and tour operators, making it ideal for groups and conventions.
Omani travellers using the platform can access live support in seven languages: English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, German, and French. Additionally, the platform offers an easy-to-navigate, end-to-end online process, which can be accessed on both desktop and mobile devices.
Steps for applying for Indonesia e-VoA:

Visit the dedicated website: https://indonesiavoa.vfsevisa.id/
Submit the required documents
Pay the application fees
Receive the pre-approved e-VoA via email before departure
The new platform also allows travellers to bypass long immigration queues at international airports and seaports, including popular destinations like Bali and Jakarta. With the payment made online, travellers can enjoy expedited entry through E-gates or immigration counters upon arrival.
VFS Global has also set up dedicated Indonesia tourism promotion kiosks in Dubai, Mumbai, and Shanghai, with plans to open another in Australia, aiming to promote Indonesia across key markets such as India, China, Korea, Japan, and the Middle East.
