Muscat: Oman Air confirmed that flight WY815, en route from Muscat to Bangkok, was forced to return to Muscat International Airport on Saturday shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue.
In accordance with standard safety and operational protocols, the flight crew made the decision to turn back as a precautionary measure. The aircraft landed safely and without incident.
Upon arrival, passengers were promptly disembarked and escorted to the terminal, where necessary assistance and care were provided.
“All guests were accommodated on a replacement flight shortly after,” Oman Air stated. “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. The safety and well-being of our guests and crew remain our highest priority.”
The airline reiterated its commitment to rigorous safety standards and expressed appreciation for passengers’ patience and understanding during the disruption.
