Muscat : Oman Air has announced the cancellation of its flights WY323 and WY324 between Muscat and Karachi scheduled for May 10, 2025, due to the periodic closures of Pakistan’s airspace and airports.
In a statement, the airline emphasized that passenger and crew safety remains its top priority. “As of now, flights from May 11 are expected to operate as scheduled; however, we are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to share updates as necessary,” the statement read.
Oman Air is assisting affected passengers with rebooking options and providing necessary support. The airline has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the cancellations.
The disruption comes amid heightened regional tensions following recent military actions between India and Pakistan, which have led to widespread airspace restrictions and flight cancellations across South Asia.
Other airlines, including SalamAir and Turkish Airlines, have also suspended or rerouted flights to Pakistan in response to the evolving situation.
