Highlighting the significance of the new committee, Riyadh bin Ali Sultan stated: “The formation of the Automobile Committee is an important step in strengthening the automotive sector in the Sultanate of Oman. This sector plays a vital role in the Omani market, contributing to job creation in areas like automotive manufacturing, maintenance, spare parts sales, and logistics services. These committees play a crucial role in understanding the economic and commercial landscape, monitoring sector-specific challenges, and proposing solutions to relevant authorities.

The committee’s goals include fostering a favourable environment for business growth, enhancing investment opportunities, and simplifying processes within the automotive industry. Riyadh Sultan highlighted the sector’s potential in attracting both local and foreign investments, aligning with the Chamber’s strategic objectives to improve the business climate and diversify the economy.
