Non-bailable warrants against two in toolkit document case

After the arrest of 21-year-old Disha Ravi, a Delhi court has issued non-bailable warrants against activists Nikita Jacob and Shantanu in connection with Delhi Police’s interrogation into the Greta Thunberg toolkit case.

The arrest warrant against activist-lawyer Nikita Jacob came hours after 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi was remanded to five-day Delhi Police Special Cell custody. Disha Ravi was arrested on February 13 for her alleged involvement in sharing the toolkit related to the farmer’s protest on social media.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police hold a press conference at 3pm today on toolkit case. The Joint Commission of Police for Cyber Cell will hold the press conference.

The announcement comes as the Delhi Police on Monday came under criticism for the “illegal” arrest of young climate activist Disha Ravi in the toolkit case, with lawyers and activist groups claiming that investigators and the Duty Magistrate violated norms and procedures.
