New medical centre opens at Dubai Mall

Dubai: A new medical centre – the Fakeeh Medicentre – Zabeel branch has opened at The Dubai Mall.

Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), affirmed that Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global destination for world-class healthcare.

This is achieved through its strategic approach, which is built on active partnerships between the public and private sectors. Such collaboration contributes to the achievement of the emirate’s healthcare objectives and aligns with Dubai’s vision of establishing a sustainable and advanced healthcare model that enhances global competitiveness while placing people at the heart of its priorities.

The Fakeeh Medicentre – Zabeel branch is part of Fakeeh Healthcare Group.

During his tour of the various departments within the new clinic, Al Ketbi received a detailed briefing from its management on the range of services it provides from a strategic location. The centre aims to deliver a comprehensive and integrated healthcare experience that meets the needs of the community while adhering to the highest international quality standards. It is staffed by a team of consultant doctors, physiotherapists, and nurses, supported by a specialised team to ensure comprehensive care for families.

Role of private sector
Al Ketbi emphasised the crucial role of the private healthcare sector as a strategic partner in enhancing Dubai’s global healthcare competitiveness. He highlighted the DHA’s commitment to creating a stimulating and attractive environment for high-quality healthcare investments.

This is achieved through legislative facilitations and regulatory flexibility, which enable growth, expansion, and innovation in medical services. These efforts contribute to the development of intelligent, innovative, and sustainable solutions for the healthcare sector.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr Mazen Fakeeh, President of Fakeeh Care Group; Dr Mohaymen Abdelghany, Vice President – Fakeeh Care, UAE CEO, Fakeeh University Hospital, Dubai; Dr Younis Kazim, Acting CEO of the Health Regulation Sector at DHA; and Dr Ramadan Al Blooshi, Advisor to the DG of DHA and Acting Director of the Public Health Protection Department while several doctors and senior healthcare executives from the group were also present.
