Kuwait City: In preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations, the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has announced the completion of the distribution of new banknotes to local banks.
The fresh currency is being released with the traditional “Eidiya” in mind — the monetary gift given to children and loved ones during Eid by both Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates.
CBK has instructed the public to check bank websites for details regarding the branches where the new banknotes are available. The new notes, available in various denominations, can be obtained from all local banks.
The Central Bank has also urged customers to visit bank branches during official working hours to collect the new notes.
