Muscat : The survey aims to measure the level of individual satisfaction with the healthcare services provided by various government and private health institutions.
Sawsan Dawood Al Lawati, Director General of Information at the Center, explained that the public opinion polls implemented by the NCSI represent an important tool for evaluating the reality of government services provided to citizens and residents. They are also one of the tools for supporting decision-making in the Sultanate of Oman, as they enable service recipients to express their opinion on the services provided. This will, conversely, help in improving, enhancing and developing these services.
Highlighting results of the first round of the survey, which was implemented in May 2024, the Director General of Information pointed out that 73.4 percent of citizens and residents are satisfied with the level of healthcare provided to them in various health institutions in the public and private sectors. The satisfaction rate with doctors reached 73.8 percent, and pharmaceutical services was 76.2 percent.
She stated that this survey, which is scheduled to continue until March 15, aims to monitor several indicators, including general satisfaction with the state of health institutions and health cadres, including doctors and nurses. It also monitors the quality of health services provided, as well as the level of pharmaceutical services.
