Mask users face headache, shortness of breath and anxiety

Face masks, widely considered the new-age condoms, is widely considered the most effective measure to stay away from the coronavirus pandemic. However, fresh reports suggest that people who use face masks are apparently facing several side effects that include headache, shortness of breath, and anxiety.

Several people from Texas are complaining about mask fatigue that is literally affecting their quality of life.

“When I have long days, if it’s a 12-hour day, I’m sick when I get home. Sick to my stomach. As soon as I get in the car I’m pulling it off and I don’t want to do anything else. I just want to go home and be mask-free,” said Courtney Warnell, a regular mask user, CBS Local reports.

According to experts, most of the people who are facing mask fatigue are those who work in restaurants, factories and offices. Even though mask fatigue is causing troubles in the lives of these people, medical experts believe that wearing masks should be strictly practiced, especially at this time, when the entire United States is witnessing a surge in coronavirus positive cases.

In the meantime, Anthony Fauci, one of the lead members of the Trump Administration’s White House Coronavirus Task Force has recently urged people to wear Goggles and face shields to stay away from the virus. According to Fauci, mucosa in the eyes could also become a passage for the virus to enter the human body.
