Man cuts off daughter’s head in UP

The horror incident that comes out of Uttar Pradesh does not surprising Indians anymore. But then this one takes the cake.

A man was seen walking with the severed head of his 17-year-old daughter on March 3.
Two police officers intercepted him and started filming the approach on one of their phones. They were seen ask him his name, where is from and whose head it was. Sarvesh replies without hesitation.

He admitted to beheading his daughter with a sharp tool because he was unhappy with her relationship with a man. “I did it. There was no one else. I closed the latch and did it. The body is in the room,” he is heard saying.

The police ask him to put the head down and sit by the road and once again he obliges without protest. The policemen brought Sarvesh to the police station and arrested him.

“A person named Sarvesh killed his teenaged daughter and was spotted carrying her severed head on the road. We intercepted him as soon as we received information about it and have taken him into custody. We have also taken serious note of a photo which shows a police official carrying her head inappropriately. The cop has been suspended,” Kapil Deo Singh, who is a police official posted in Hardoi, said, according to a television report.

Uttar Pradesh topped the list of states with the highest number of crimes against women in 2019, the latest data released by the National Crime Record Bureau in September last year showed.
