Kuwaitis predominantly occupy roles in the public sector, such as executive positions, government roles, and education. Conversely, expatriates are largely employed in the private sector, often in domestic services, manual labor, and low-wage service positions like driving, cleaning, and waiting tables .

The average Kuwaiti household comprises seven individuals, whereas expatriate households average two members. Birth rates also differ significantly: Kuwaitis average 21 births per 1,000 people, while non-Kuwaitis average only four.
