Kuwait may affix camera to Police men uniforms

 

Kuwait:  The Interior and Defense Committee of the National Assembly has approved a proposal to affix a camera to the uniforms of members of the police force, who deal with the public, provided the camera will remain in operation only during the working hours, reports Al-Qabas daily. Member of Parliament, Hisham Al- Saleh said, according to the proposal approved by the committee, police from all units who work to preserve the law, must protect the security of citizens, track violators, issue citations and sometimes and during this time misunderstandings can occur which may amount to abuses by either the policemen or the other party and the proposal to allow the security men to carry cameras attached to their uniforms will help the transparency and credibility it deserves, and to prevent misuse or abuse of power.
