Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 24: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is conducting two hands-on workshops on digital fabrication for school and college students and the public in association with Fab Lab Kerala.
The first workshop on 3D printing (digital fabrication), covering basics of 3D printing software and machinery, is only for Class 9-12 students fromThiruvananthapuram district. The fee per head for the two-day workshop is Rs 1,500. A maximum of 40 students from a school can apply for participation. Schools must have computer lab facility with projector for conducting the workshop. Another workshop on ‘Basic Introduction to Digital Fabrication Machines’ is open to 15 participants (7 school/college students and 8 public) for five days. Participants will get hands-on training in CNC, Laser, 3D printing and Vinyl Cutting.KSUM and Fab Lab Kerala certification will be provided to the participants.
